Charleston Entrepreneur Week 2011

The Southeastern Chamber of Commerce seeks 100 local entrepreneurs to participate in the 1st annual Charleston Entrepreneur Week, August 3-5, 2011 CHARLESTON – Today, the city of Charleston is heeding President Obama's challenge to ‘Startup  America’ by calling for 100 local entrepreneurs to participate in Charleston Entrepreneur Week (CEW│2011). CEW│2011 is a three day event, (August 3-5, 2011),being held at multiple venues throughout Charleston. All main events will be held at the Stern Center Ballroom on the College of Charleston campus.

Driven by the entrepreneurial momentum that has fueled the city's economic growth, the Southeastern Chamber of Commerce’s 1st annual CEW│2011 will attract the State’s greatest minds to the area to provide direct support to over 100 local entrepreneurs. CEW│2011 will solidify South Carolina’s position as a leader in attracting, supporting and retaining entrepreneurial talent. “I am exhilarated about the potential of Charleston Entrepreneur Week. The Charleston/North Charleston community has come together to sustain a movement to support and grow entrepreneurial ability. This is just the beginning of what we plan to promote throughout the Southeastern Region” said Henry Ravenel, CEO of the Southeastern Chamber of Commerce. CEW│2011 illustrates that Charleston and North Charleston are model cities for innovation and entrepreneurship. CEW│2011 will feature a unique program of outstanding activities including over a dozen of business workshops, investment pitches, networking events, a finale gala, keynote speeches and interactive discussion sessions. This high-impact week connects entrepreneurs, students, CEOs and key decision makers with a common goal: to create a unifying event that promotes inspiration, facilitates lasting connections and generates opportunities for successful entrepreneurial ventures.
